The cuisine at Jiji no ie is based on our original concept of Japanese terroir in which healthful home made fermented foods and condiments play a major role in the meal experience. The rice and vegetables come primarily from the inn’s own organic garden.

At Jiji no ie, the dinner experience is not only about delicious food. It is our aim that each guest enjoys their meal from amuse to desert ‘with every cell of the body.’ Locally fermented natural sake’s and European wines, including bio wines, are available to heighten your dining experience.

Please let us know ahead of time is you have any allergies and we will do our best to arrange meals to meet your needs. The cuisine at Jiji no ie is primarily vegan, but some of Japan’s finest cheeses are locally produced and available by prior request. The local ports supply many of Tokyo’s Michelin three star restaurants with fresh fish and fish dishes are also available at Jiji no ie . Please make requests twenty-four hours in advance.
