Brown’s Field is an organic farm, café, shop and accommodation located on the Boso Peninsula, just 80km (1 hour by fast train) from Tokyo. Set amongst the rice fields it is a tranquil environment to come and relax and enjoy the simple and pure attributes of nature and to return to the traditions of Japanese farmhouse living.

Established in 1999 by renowned journalist and photographer Everett Kennedy Brown and his wife Deco Nakajima, chef and author of several macrobiotic cookbooks and lecturer at the Kushi Macrobiotic Academy, Brown’s Field focusses on sustainable, organic farming with an emphasis on Japanese traditions.

Whether it’s just for a day trip to enjoy a delicious organic lunch at the Rice Terrace Café, or if you want to unwind and stay for a few days, Brown’s Field is the perfect escape from the hectic city and a chance to immerse yourself in authentic Japanese traditions in a picturesque landscape.
